“Never lend books, for no one ever return them; the only books I have in my library are books that other folks have lent me” says Anatole France.

If only my friends have insisted in taking back their books, maybe I wouldn’t have had such a wall- like book shelf.

Thus, I have never felt remorse not to have returned the books borrowed, even after reading it over and over again, I still claim it is not yet time to return it. Amazingly the lenders will never ask, and if they do, they won’t be that serious to have their books back, this is the attitude of most people; we are all book thief and lender.

After setting up my library, I realized the quote above is not only philosophical, it is also prophetic. Many of my books have grown legs and walked away in my bookshelf and replaced themselves with other folks’ books, surprisingly I don’t know from whom some were borrowed or lent anymore. I miss some books so dearly, despite my wish to have them back I couldn’t find them even in the book store.

Great! I have come with an idea; any book in my book shelf must carry my stamp “saheed library” this will help retrieve them if later seen in any other bookshelf.

Secondly, every borrowed book will be in a section in my bookshelf and tag “BORROWED BOOKS” this will help to return any book I borrowed and no more book thieving.

Thirdly, I make a list of book to read every month, so that if I see any with a friend, I will write on the list whose friend has it for easy borrowing and return.

I have always imagined that paradise will be a kind of library, so I take my time to plan my library as that I will love to stay in paradise…
